Our research focuses
A fundamental concern of our research is the consideration of the man-machine interface. Wherever technical systems are used to increase safety, user acceptance is elementary. This stands or falls with the psychological catchiness of the user interface. Our research is based on concepts of work psychology, ergonomics and human factor concepts.
Another research focus is the analysis of the conditions of safety- and health-relevant behavior. Based on our research findings, we develop concepts for behavioral and situational prevention.
With our research projects in the field of track construction, we have been helping to make track work safer for over twenty years. The focus of our considerations is always on people and their behavior in the track construction site work system. On the basis of field studies, we research the framework conditions for safe working and create the basis for the design of new safety concepts. Our research helps prevent serious accidents and human suffering.
