Current projects track construction
Further development of a mobile rapid construction wall for the spatial separation of employees in the track area from the source of danger of train travel
When working in the vicinity of tracks, serious accidents occur time and again as people enter the danger zone and are hit by trains. Currently, there is no behavior-independent security measure that effectively prevents entry into the hazardous area. The approach of a mobile fixed rapid construction wall has the potential to solve this problem.

Investigation of aerodynamic loads on track workers caused by passing trains
The investigation is intended to answer the question of whether the safety measures that have been in place to date are sufficient to protect track workers from train movements and, if so, whether this still applies when trains pass the construction sites at higher speeds than in the past.

Risk assessment of safety measures for special activities or working procedures in the track area, taking into account significant influencing variables
The aim of the research project is to assign the "optimal", risk-minimizing safety measure to specific activities or work procedures in the track area. Significant influencing factors are identified and evaluated on the basis of a risk assessment.
